2. Mechanical Breakthrough: The New 8-Speed AT
The biggest headline under the hood is the retirement of the old 6-speed torque converter.
- 1.0L TSI Engine: Now paired with an all-new 8-speed Torque Converter Automatic. This update provides smoother gear shifts and significantly better fuel efficiency on highways.
- 1.5L TSI Engine: Continues with the lightning-fast 7-speed DSG (Dual-Clutch) and Active Cylinder Technology (ACT), which shuts down two cylinders during cruising to save fuel.
- Rear Disc Brakes: Responding to customer feedback, Skoda has finally added rear disc brakes to all 1.5L TSI variants for superior stopping power.
3. High-Tech Features: Google Gemini & Massage Seats

Skoda has leapfrogged the competition by integrating cutting-edge technology into the cabin:
- Google Gemini AI Assistant: The 10.1-inch infotainment system now features built-in Google Gemini AI. You can ask for real-time news, weather updates, or control car functions like AC and volume using natural voice commands—completely hands-free.
- Rear Seat Massage (Segment-First): In a move usually reserved for luxury sedans, the Kushaq Facelift introduces a massage function for the rear seats in the Prestige and Monte Carlo trims.
- Panoramic Sunroof: Replacing the smaller electric sunroof, the new “OpenSky” panoramic sunroof covers a much larger area, making the cabin feel airy and premium.
4. Design Evolution: Inspired by Kodiaq
The exterior design now aligns with Skoda’s “Modern Solid” language, taking clear cues from the flagship Kodiaq.
- Front Fascia: Slimmer LED projector headlamps with eyebrow-style DRLs and a segmented LED light bar integrated into the grille.
- Rear Profile: Connected LED tail-lights with sequential indicators and illuminated ‘SKODA‘ lettering on the tailgate.
- Safety: True to its legacy, the Kushaq retains its 5-star Global NCAP rating. It now offers 6 Airbags as standard across all variants, along with ESC, Traction Control, and Multi-Collision Braking.
