Maruti Suzuki Brezza Facelift 2026

Maruti Suzuki is officially gearing up to reclaim its throne in the sub-compact SUV segment. Following the successful implementation of its “Victoris” engineering, the Maruti Suzuki Brezza has been teased today, confirming two massive upgrades: a game-changing Underbody CNG Tank and the inclusion of Level 2 ADAS.

The updated Brezza is expected to launch in May 2026, with a primary focus on maximizing utility and safety for the modern Indian family.

1. The Underbody CNG “Magic”: Full Boot Space Regained

The biggest pain point for CNG SUV buyers has always been the loss of luggage space due to the massive cylinder in the boot. Maruti Suzuki has officially solved this with the Underbody S-CNG technology.

  • Placement: The CNG cylinder has been relocated from the boot floor to beneath the vehicle’s chassis. This is made possible by the Brezza’s high ground clearance and a redesigned exhaust routing.
  • Boot Capacity: For the first time, a Brezza CNG will offer the same 328-litre boot space as its petrol counterpart.
  • Competitive Edge: While rivals like Tata use twin-cylinder tech inside the boot, Maruti’s underbody solution completely clears the interior storage area, making it a “Full Boot” CNG SUV.
  • No Spare Wheel? To accommodate the tank under the floor, the spare wheel is replaced with a standard-fit Puncture Repair Kit, similar to the setup in the Maruti Victoris.

2. Safety Leap: Level 2 ADAS Integration

Safety is no longer an afterthought for Maruti. The 2026 Brezza becomes the first in its lineup to receive a comprehensive Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) suite.

  • Key ADAS Features:
    • Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB): For city and highway safety.
    • Adaptive Cruise Control: To make long highway drives effortless.
    • Lane Keep Assist & Lane Departure Warning: To prevent accidental drifting.
    • Blind Spot Monitoring: Essential for heavy Indian traffic.
  • Standard Safety: 6 Airbags, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Hill Hold Assist, and a 360-degree camera will now be standard on the ZXi and ZXi+ variants.

3. Interior & Tech: The “Victoris” Influence

Inside, the Brezza takes a premium turn, borrowing heavily from the upscale Victoris cabin theme.

  • Screens: A larger 10.25-inch SmartPlay Pro+ touchscreen and a fully digital 10.25-inch driver’s display with multiple customizable themes.
  • Comfort: For the first time, the Brezza will feature Ventilated Front Seats and a Powered Driver’s Seat (height and slide adjustment).
  • Connectivity: Wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and updated Suzuki Connect with over 40+ remote features including smartwatch and Alexa integration.

4. Performance: Proven 1.5L K-Series Power

Mechanically, the Brezza sticks to its strengths of reliability and high fuel efficiency.
